Are we able to push legislation to be able to list domestic pets as tax dependents ? Nowadays, Americans are not really having children and pets such as dogs and cat have became the new generation of children for American families. Some people spend just as much pets as they do for other family members. Our pets have insurance, medical expenses, special diets, etc… and it’s got into a point where we should be able to write them off as dependents. Yes, I do agree that there should be some type of regulation for this as far as Some people abusing it and maybe put a limit that way People don’t list 100 cows that they have outside on the pasture. Maybe just two domesticated animals that we keep indoors? Or spend a certain amount of money every year.

Having a pet is a choice to pay for as is a child. The difference being ,the child will grow up and then pay taxes!
A pet will not !! So no not a fair idea in my opinion
