Payment processors have too much influence and power over what the average American spends their money on.
I have personally seen many services that are perfectly legal denied service by the major payment processors, such as VISA and Mastercard. The people should be the ones choosing what they spend their money on, not these companies. Not only that, but the companies being denied service have the right to offer any legal service they wish without the fear that payment processors will not allow consumers to purchase these services.
These payment processors also often have their own agendas with denying their services to certain companies. These agendas go from simply assisting other companies they’re partnered with in creating a monopoly, to not allowing certain ideas to be spread. This is a huge threat to freedom of speech and expression, and gives these companies far too much power over the people.
