Pathway to EARN citizenship for Illigals Immigrants

I would like to propose a pathway for citizenship for all Illegal Immigrants that have not been convicted of a crime in the US or violent crime in their home countries . We can open all support jobs in the Military (none combat or combat related) to people wanting to avoid deportation. They sign a 6 year contract where they are paid what our military are paid, they receive language Training, Learn our laws and American history, get job or skills training based on the A.S.V.A.B.S score taken in their own language. live on base in a safe structured environment, while they acclimate to US Society. This will also allow us to separate support job pay and active duty combat MOS’s pay., Potentially giving the US citizens a chance to reward the Women and Men that directly risk their lives in battle for our way of life with higher pay than the support elements that will have the opportunity to get hazard pay when in a hazardous area. Having the opportunity to earn their citizenship, Illegal immigrant’s will have a 2nd chance to show the US citizenry that they want to prove they understand our laws and they agree to serve our country to do it. They would leave the support element with a skill and the ability to build savings to fund their own productive future in the USA after passing the US Citizenship test.

I am suggesting something like the program we offered American’s in the 1980-2020 (jail or military). 6 year military commitment is no joke. they are estimating billions in costs to remove people. Why not give the people that will contribute positively and work hard a chance?and save the cost of rounding everyone up… that way Law Enforcement can concentrate on removing the gangs and none law abiding illegals

I would disagree with this. They cheated the system and this would be a reward for cheating. Then to integrate them through our military? The American tax payer funds the military. So they disrespect our national sovereignty, then allow them into our military, this is called infiltration by the way, and the hard working tax payers have to pay for it?
We gave amnesty to them in the 80’s under Reagan and they keep coming. It’s never going to stop unless the hammer falls. A hard no

Just thinking with the Military having numbers so low, instead of paying for deportations, flights, all the legal expenses, and sowing discourse in our own country. We could come up with a solution that benefits everyone… Reagan gave Amnesty… Thank you for helping expand my idea.

If you and your children were under threat of daily bombing, or had already lost most of your family to drug cartel violence, or corrupt government activities, would you not consider breaking a law or two in hopes of securing their survival?

So, in that way of thinking, we should without question open our country up to everyone in Ukrain, the middle eastern countries, like Libia? Or places like Somalia where warlords rule areas? There is going to be conflict somewhere, theres going to be violence and oppression somewhere…all the time. That’s not an excuse to cross our borders illegally. Chicago and Baltimore are some of the most dangerous places to live in the world. If people there were to just pack up and move to Canada without following their immigration laws, would that be ok?

Whats the percentage of single military age males coming across the border as opposed to families?

What if 1% of the people coming across the border were militants sent here for nefarious reasons?

What if you got a phone call that someone you know was raped and murdered by someone that wasnt legally supposed to be here? Knowing that the last moments of their life was filled with torture, fear and pain, knowing that their life was about end and they would never see the people they love again?
Its been documented that men on battlefields dying from wounds, cry out for their mommy. You dont think these you women being raped do the same thing?

While you justify yourself as being compassionate, you ignore the effects it has on the lives of others.

Crossing the border illegally is a federal crime. So they have broken the law in their first action by purposely flying under the radar to get into America.

Deport them all.

I fully have faith in Tom Homan’s drive ability to secure our borders

I am talking about the people that are all ready here… please don’t try to change what I am saying to make a false point ( I have had enough of that with fake News ). I said for law abiding no violent with no record.

I agree 100%.
Deport them all, every single one. Those under Biden/Harris and those here already. Build the wall and use the military for this effort. No Liberal Governors, mayors, Police Chiefs, Lawyers, ACLU, Church Groups, No one will interfere this time.

The Military recruitment numbers are low because no one wants to have anything to do with a woke military. Get rid of the gay/trans crap and there will be plenty of Americans looking to serve. And stop the clot shots. We can then request that all those that were tossed out of the military because they refused a population control shot be let back in. There, Problem solved.

They broke federal law as soon as they crossed the border. If it’s the children you’re referring to, sorry but there is no concelation prize.

I like a lot of your ideas here, but my problem with it is the fact that every single illegal has broken our laws, hence the word “illegal”. They should not be rewarded with a shortcut. The regular legal way to obtain citizenship is quite long and complicated but it shows a commitment to our country. However, if every military-aged illegal were to leave our country, then re-enter legally, and then be able to choose between our current process or immediately entering the military to earn their citizenship, that could help weed out the criminals that want to harm us. But we need to deport ALL of those here illegally to reinforce that we are a nation of laws and that those laws have to be obeyed. They can then enter legally and go through our citizenship process like so many others have done throughout our history. Most of these illegals are falsely claiming asylum to bypass our normal process. We seriously need to shut the border down completely until we fix it.

All that to say, I really like your thoughts on having a military service option for citizenship, but I don’t believe it’s fair to all the others who obtained their citizenship legally to change the rules for those who have already broken our laws just because it may be cheaper or more convenient.

These are my thoughts.
1.) “Amnesty” in the form of forgiving the illegal entry, is a good “carrot” to incentivize illegal residents to take steps voluntarily in the right direction.
2.) While (very) many have entered illegally, there is some compassion (a very little) that can be shown in that continued permissiveness has encouraged illegal entry (almost entrapment).
3.) Policies going forward should never reward those who “broke in line” against those who “followed the rules.”

So I think…

  • the idea of forgiveness of the act of illegally entering the country itself, is warranted for a limited time, on the provision the action is undone… i.e. leave the country (“voluntary deportation”) and start at the end of the line with the legal entry/work visa/citizenship path.
  • To make this more appealing and reward those who followed the rules, we MUST streamline the process by appointing/training/hiring more staff and administrators to process existing and future applications for entry, work visas, and citizenship application.

Two other comments based on other suggestions I’ve seen elsewhere:

  • I don’t believe in revoking citizenship given criminal activity. Once a citizen, an individual’s future behavior should be adjudicated as the behavior of a citizen.
  • However, fraud in applying for citizenship is grounds for revocation of citizenship. (In a marriage analogy, no divorce but allow for annulment.)
  • [edit] A third thought. For the short term, turning state’s evidence on “coyotes” should be incentivized with some short-cutting through the process, i.e. immediate granting of qualified resident alien status.

It’s borders not boarders

UMM My husband just retired after 25 years in, most of the time with 5SFG and I can tell you the woke crap is not the only reason numbers are down. Toxic leadership was killing military way before Trans policy’s. Bengazi really started it and Afghanistan pull out cemented the disdain for serving… then the shot when the Government porved it gave zero sh*ts about its Military. The kids that would be joining today grew up with Gay and Trans people as a normal pat of Western society so not joining because of woke policy is a lot less of a issue than believing your Government will 100% Leave you to die… you are simplifying a much larger issue

sorry wrong person

Has anyone here ever sped on a federal highway? There are about a million Federal laws we all break everyday because our Legal system is so messed up. Everyone int he USA that has a pot card from their state is breaking a federal law. I am not advocating more people come in illegally. I am advocating the most cost effective and beneficial outcome for the mess that was created. Build a wall secure the boarder and you will stop others from coming illegally … But the last administration Invited and flew these people in. Get rid of the criminals and the others that were tricked into coming by the globalist deserve the chance our Government offered them. Unless you can Figure out how to make Soros and Biden pay for the deportation… it is Tax payers throwing good money after bad.

No, Just No. People that made committing a crime the first thing they did when Illegally entering the Country must be removed and I certainly do not want them anywhere near the Military. If it’s billions in cost to remove them, it’s cheaper than supporting them.
