The U.S. Constitution does NOT expressly recognize or protect parental rights.
“Fit” parents have had to rely on U.S. Supreme Court decisions to protect their children.
Some judges are loath to expand on the rights enumerated in the constitution because it undercuts the constitution itself and the procedure for amending it.
Adding an amendment to protect parental rights will prevent courts, CPS and others from trafficking our children or using them in a peonage system to line the pockets of court/political “insiders.”
I think that there are definitely points where this should be implemented. But I’m left to wonder what the potential drawbacks are for unfit parents.

Abolish CPS. This will work itself out.
Putting the right in the constitution protects it for future purposes, if needed.
It took over 200 years before SCOTUS recognized an individual right to keep and bear arms.
Parental rights are not just threatened by CPS.
They are also threatened by over reaching school systems, teachers, therapists, doctors, police and family members.
Try telling your kid’s school that you want to pull your kid out of a certain class or curriculum, or you don’t wan your child exposed to certain material…
