Our current maternity leave offers moms 6-8 (additional 6 weeks if they extend it) weeks of maternity leave that is partially paid, most moms feel rushed to go back to work because they cannot afford only 60-70% of their pay. Moms should not feel this weight on their shoulders along with all the other emotional and hormonal changes they are going through, they should be able to enjoy their time with their baby and take the time to take care of themselves to properly heal, mentally, emotionally and physically.
