I propose that along with pay reductions for Congress and Senators, term limits for two terms, no stock trades while serving in either house, no retirement benefits, we should also somewhat kick them out of Washington. Let me explain. With all of the technology, there is no reason that any person serving in either house has to live in Washington. They should have to live in the district’s that they serve. They could either come to Washington four times a year for two weeks, paid per diem to vote on legislation, or with technology being what it is, why would they even have to to that?
Voting on a bill, they should have to get a large yea or nay from their constituents in their district by survey done by their staff and then they have to vote that way. They should have to show proof that it was the will of their constituents that they are voting for what the people in their district want, or how they wanted them to vote.
