Can we make tanning beds illegal? We are all well aware of the health implications of even a few uses of a tanning bed. It’s sad to see teens and young adults frequently use tanning beds before they are old enough to think about long term effects. At the very least, we should increase the age of users to 21 years old. But I believe we should not allow anyone access.
I disagree with your wish. There are diseases, such as cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, uses UV light as part of the treatment program. People living in the northern and central states do not have the weather patterns for it to be appropriate for people to use natural sunlight.
Some of us are very pale and may require tanning sessions to get a tan before going on a beach vacation, like I did when a pre-teen.
Not to mention, there are some physicians that state not getting enough sunlight can contribute to cancer just as much as getting too much.
