Open Competition for Health Insurance Co’s

Currently there is no real competitive environment for health insurance. On top of the food companies poisoning the population of this country, inflating health care burdens, health insurance is geographically restricted.

We should open up the market so that any insurance companies willing to underwrite the risk can do business anywhere in the country. We need to greatly widen the competition and drive health insurance costs down, as we Make American Healthy Again.

This will require changes in both law and organizational regulations, and I believe it is a significant part of the whole solution to drive Health Insurance costs down.

Completely concur. States restrict which companies may offer policies within their borders. Get rid of this and allow competition nationally. Health insurance within states is little different from how only 2-3 airlines provide service at any given airport. They collude together to decide who will “own” which routes. While there may be some logistical justification for what the airlines do, there is no justification for what the states do with health insurance.
