I nominate myself for this position. The last two administrators have been entirely ineffective as evidenced by denial of my claim. They should have ensured that the New York Naval Militia created or kept records of those that served at the World Trade Center on or after 9/11. Those records can still be created or compiled. However, it’s apparent that the administration/system wants the state servicemember to hire an attorney on a contingency basis, to do the most mundane of filings.
A strong Administrator is needed to weed out the corruption and sloth that is systemic in the WTC Fund. It would be cheaper to award money even in questionable cases, than continue to cover payroll and overhead of the entire fund.
President Trump ended “endless wars.”
Now he should end “endless compensation funds” that don’t compensate the people who served and are entitled to compensation.
I’ll zero out the fund in a year, maybe two, max.
