No tax on overtime for TRUCKERS

I like the idea of no tax on overtime, but truckers don’t get paid hourly and yet they work some of the longest hours in society, often up to 70hrs. Make it a law that no matter how you get paid (hourly, per mile, etc) there should be zero taxes on cumulative time over 40hrs/wk. If we’re gonna stop taxes on tips (good idea), and taxes on overtime for all other workers, surely our hard working truckers that move all of the products in our country should get the same benefit.

And as a side note, stop taxing bonuses! If someone gets recognized for some accomplishment or profit-based bonus, the government should have no claim to any part of that benefit.

This is a serious issue, as many truckers don’t even receive overtime pay. I work for an LTL company, and we’re not paid overtime; we only get our regular pay. Some LTL companies do offer overtime after working 50 or 55 hours, but that’s still unacceptable. It’s time for America to prioritize the well-being of its drivers and ensure they receive fair compensation for their hard work.

Company even label some dock help at drivers. So they don’t have to pay overtime.
