This type of programming is whats destroying our families period!!! Those movies should hsve a lgbtq rating so we dont have to see this crap

See, the fact that you got aggressively irritated enough about it to post your opinions on a politically charged website says otherwise to your “it doesn’t bother me” bullshit. Last I checked, REAL men let others do as they see fit as long as they aren’t harming anyone. And, correct me if I’m wrong, you don’t really see gay folks out there beating the shit out of people because they’re different. Typically those are the straight folks. Just saying, if you were raised a “man”, you’d know better than to act like a cunt. Personally, I’d say you weren’t so much “raised” as you were likely beaten and not hugged enough.

As much as I like family movies with great family quality and no LGBT elements, I think we should have movies both WITH and WITHOUT homosexuality. I think the best balance is to have a label on the cover of a movie if a movie features LGBT elements. Movies can also make two version of a movie. One with LGBT elements and one where the LGBT elements and scenes are removed. This allows for more consumers to buy what they want and have the values they want. WIN-WIN FOR ALL.

I don’t know what’s more distasteful. You “preaching the merits of a ‘direct democracy’” and yet decrying someone’s individual right to post about whatever they want in a public forum or your attitude against their belief choice. Probably equally distasteful.
FYI, we’re still a republic, even if this website is soliciting input. I seriously doubt that someone will contact you directly to make these decisions for the government. But, hey, way to go adding to the division in this country. Nice job there, buster. You’re not much better than the “class of beings that deem themselves superior.”
I think you conflate what is best for the country as everything that is “free of government and societal interference.” Why not just drop all laws then? Because it’s good for our country to have laws. Some people feel homosexuality is weaponized in the media. I would agree. I think it’s used to confuse our children. If we want an accurate representation of this in society, then 1-5% of all media should show it, right? Something’s going on when it’s EVERYWHERE. I, for one, would like a tad of authoritarianism when it comes to protecting our children and keeping our country safe and strong.

We ALL want to protect children. The problem people here seem to be having is calling out homosexuality as something dangerous for children to be exposed to. Some of us believe that limiting homosexuality in entertainment IS protecting children. The government limits children’s access to porn, right? Many of us feel it’s similar. Homosexuality has been weaponized in this country. Why would anyone want weaponization to continue just because “freedom?”

Agreed. And I’m not a Christian. It’s one thing to protect the rights of people who are gay, and it’s another to promote an LGBTQ agenda. The two are vastly different. Respect the individual, while opposing the agenda.

No One is “making you watch” anything.
Simple tags on content should be enough to sort them into appropriate categories.
It’s not the governments job to decide what your family’s should and shouldn’t be watching, it’s yours.
simple readjustment of the rating systems should be enough.
What if someone decided that they don’t want to be subjugated to organized religion in their entertainment?
Holding hands and kissing is one thing, sex of any kind is another.

Earlier I wrote a comment about how I figured out I’m gay completely without gay media. I simply had crushes on male actors. But gay media would’ve helped me understand myself, not “confuse me”, and it’s not confusing kids who will grow up to be straight.
If a movie or TV show can make a straight kid gay, then honestly it’s like heterosexuality doesn’t even exist. If it’s so fragile and “programmable,” maybe it’s not really real, right?
The truth is, it’s you who want to confuse kids, including my own kid self.

Homosexuality isn’t pornography anymore than heterosexuality is pornography. It’s just different, yet the same.
And thanks for noticing, some of us gay people do indeed feel exploited for political weaponization.
The exploitation of us by the Left needs to stop.
But that’s not going to make homosexuality not exist, or gay people not exist, or gay characters not exist in content.

Obviously, I know you “exist.” And I don’t much care unless someone is attempting to change my child because of it. Let’s have gay characters represent the actual % of LGBTQ in this world PRIOR to weaponization.

Yeah, okay. I want to confuse kids because I don’t want them to believe homosexuality is normal. It’s not normal biologically, at all. It’s in a very small % of this world, and it would be a lot smaller % if it weren’t weaponized. I heard a middle schooler say she was “bi,” because it makes her popular. Seriously. You think she’s really “bi?” You think half of the people in this country are who say they are? It’s trendy, edgy and helps make you popular. Thanks to the media.

What gave you the idea this is a negotiation? You should leave this country and find one where your views are acceptable, or create your own gay country elsewhere, rather than trying to subvert or convert mine. This matter you will find over time is actually non negotiable.
You do realize that, in this modern day and age, YOU are the minority, right? Or do you not follow political and societal news and media? Gods, it’s like all of you “My country, my rules” fuckers seem to think you run the world just because you’re afraid of people who are different than you. At this rate, you might as well just label yourself as you are. Of course that girl isn’t actually bi. But that girl is actually looking to be valued, and found an artificial route instead of developing self-esteem.
And why is that? Toxic school environments. Toxic peer groups. Toxic parenting. Toxic politicization of society. Whatever combination. The media are mostly just a symptom of the politics.
Gay people are not the problem, and neither is homosexuality. Our existence didn’t create stupid politics. It’s not gay people who framed ourselves as being “cooler than straight people,” it’s Leftist politics.
A good deal of us are fed up with the “queer” nonsense where, as you pointed out, wounded people exploit our actual existence and reality to make themselves feel better. Queer is the problem; gay is not. We would agree a lot if you could figure out the difference.
Homosexuality shows up in the biology of both humans and animals. It is normal. Go watch two male penguins raise a chick penguin on The History Channel.
Only religion thinks homosexuality is abnormal, because it has an agenda to create children without actually caring about the existential welfare of those children. Just make more and more because of an ideology, without caring about their humanity.
And you wonder why a straight girl calls herself bi to feel special. It’s because society, religious influence, and maybe bad parenting failed her.

Remove all of the “political characters,” and there’d certainly be less superficial characters pretending to be gay.
Remove Leftist politics and there’d be less wounded people pretending to be gay.

America is made of all sorts of people — including gay people.
This isn’t “your” country, it’s our country. This is our country as much as yours, and we’re not leaving. There is no negotiation on that.
If you can’t handle sharing it, then you can leave and go live in some little village in some far away land where no one disturbs your sensitivities.
