Military and Police forces continue to face critical shortages pertaining to recruitment and RETENTION of qualified individuals. Therefore I propose the following in an effort to reverse these trends:
Cancel/Lower income tax for active Military/Police/Firefighters and for retired Military/Police/Firefighters after 1 standard enlistment for military/10 years of service for Police/Firefighter. (10 years of service may be with different departments be they geographical or level of government, i.e. local/state/federal. Forced disability retirement with less than the prescribed time frames would continue to be Federal tax free.
