After WW2 my father as a veteran was able to buy a home for the VA zero down payment program which was important as a start for our family to begin to create generational assets . Returning Black veterans were denied this opportunity. Truly, this was not fair.
I am so against all of these reparation requests and against paying for things I had zero control or liability over and I can see so many reasons against.
This one to me is simple, Veterans were denied benefits that helped many start family wealth generationally.
SOLUTION THAT HAS NO COST AFFECT ON ANYONE!
Give the heirs of denied black veterans the right, if they qualify and meet all of the requirements of a VA loan, the ability to use that program to get the jump start their grandfathers, VETERANS, were denied.
