Need better oversight for not only food but for chemicals in products

We need better oversight and testing of the chemicals put not only into our foods and crops and water but into products we use every day like soap and deodorant, detergents etc. Some of these chemicals can absorb through the skin and studies have already shown a link to effects on hormones and cancer. Some companies are already making deodorant without phalates and parabines and aluminum. There is a link to Aluminum and dementia and other harmful side effects and risks from phalates and parabines being soaked into the glands from deodorant. Hopefully our foods is just the start of MAHA. I beleive part of the problem at the FDA and USDA is they are not sufficiently testing these chemicals themeselves. Trusting in the companies to test them and provide results of their tests etc rather than doing extensive independent tests to ensure they are safe. Some of these chemicals build up in the body so may have a toxic effect over time etc. Do we need to expand the offices of the FDA and USDA so one in every state to test the food and products in that state? Not sure but something definately needs to be done.
