National Voter ID Law

I honestly believe that voting controls should be a state-level issue. Having any voter controls at the federal level only allows potential authoritarian control of elections. It’s a bad precedent to set. It’s significantly more difficult to corrupt the elections of 50 separate states than one federal law.

Or blockchain voting. National Voter ID should have an encrypted QR code for each voter. We should be able to see our vote under our ID and see that our vote was cast correctly and recorded. Look at the technology of drivers licenses now. We have ID.ME used at the government agencies. There is no reason we can’t do this on a national scale.

Yes! I worked election poll day worker in NY and we literally had a meeting where the supervisor told us it’s forbidden to ask for or scan ids. They could take it out and read off the information (address and name) but we couldn’t scan or look at it. That’s how people get away with fraud. Despicable! And the fact that letting illegals vote is on the table- what a disgrace for this country

ALL counting operations should be live streamed, and LOCAL viewers given the ability to clip & report suspicious activity.

Anybody found (by a jury of their peers) to be intentionally miscounting, will be charged with treason.

National holiday and to get it paid you must return with proof that YOU voted.

Voting is the duty of CITIZENS ONLY! Why voter ID is not enforced all over the country appalls me! To me, not passing voter ID is refusing to uphold the oath of office.

Block chain voting, where you have your number on the block chain for proof against your state voter ID. So that should anyone try to vote again and supply their voter ID it’ll show that they’ve previously voted with specific time, date, location and specific items on that states ballot.

I agree, in GA, our vote is electronic and then printed on paper, and they print this QR code on it, that we have no access to. The main vote count is not the words printed on our paper, it is the QR scan. I LIKE a paper trail, but then we have no access to the info on the paper trail.

because State ID’s are free and thus entirely accessible, why not DEMAND proof of ID when voting? (no provisional ballot needed.)

I like your weekend Election Day idea.

I believe ID should be required period.

Why can’t they get an ID? I think this is a question we need to look at.

Is it a lack of resources? Is the system not easy enough? Is it a cost issue? What can be done?

If we can figure out why they can’t get an ID then we can make a plan. I believe a fair proposal for Voter ID mandate should roll out a comprehensive 2 year plan to make sure all legal citizens can apply for if they don’t already have one.

Once you get everyone ID’s tho then there is no reason requiring an ID should be an issue.

There is an issue with this. If your identity can be tied to your vote, and checked, it enables bad actors to purchase votes. For example: if you vote for X candidate, I’ll give you $500. Or, get 20% off your next car purchase upon blockchain proof you voted for X.

This is the main reason ballots are kept anonymous.

I agree on Valid ID for voting. With that said, no one should have a valid ID to vote UNLESS they are a US Citizen, period.
Tired of this argument. IT is Common Sense. And anybody who believes it inhibits poverty or low income people, are just trying to manipulate the system for their own agenda

Absolutely agree with this. Each state should be required to have a count by the end of day on election day. There are plenty of states will large populations that can manage this - why can’t others? We The People deserve to know the results of all elections the as quickly as possible.

If someone can’t figure out a way to get an ID, do we really want them weighing in on an election that could affect the population? That is a basic life skill.

Could you explain what a Blockchain is?

Yes, I do believe that we should have a National Voter ID’s. It would keep the election process fair. If we don’t do something about it now,I am scared that we will never have another fair election again.

I do agree with you! I assumed this was already law TBH and am surprised it’s even in question. This needs to be made Law ASAP to protect our country. There is no reason why by 2028 this can’t be in place. We need this to protect the integrity of our election and also to protect our Country and constitution.

In an effort to be fair I propose some sort of roll out to make sure every legal citizen has their ID
