When registering to vote at 18, I was required to prove citizenship in my county, state and country. There should not be access to our elections without citizenship. While policy may apply to all, voting should remain a right of the citizen voters alone.

What sticks out to me most about election inconsistencies were with the handling of ‘suppossed’ mail-in ballots on election night: stopping the count/pulling out suitcases/secret counts/miraculously coming up with tens of thousands of votes overnight.
Here is my proposal:
- Early voting and mail in ballots must be completed/received 2 weeks before Election Day.
- These ballots are to be tabulated several days prior (72 hours before?) to the opening of the polls in order to be counted towards the total.
- These ballots are to be ‘set aside’ in a secured manner.
- Election Day is for in-person voting only. (However determined-block chain? Paper? Etc).
- Once the polls close, tabulate the Election day’s numbers and add them to the early voting/mail in ballot total.
This eliminates any last minute ballots being pulled out, and having the two segregated should help root out any fraud. Since nobody knows how many mail in votes are needed to win-the deterrance is built in.
I believe there is a very simple solution to maintain true integrity in our nations elections. Over the past few years it seems as our elections look more and more like the elections of third world nations where we have installed “democracy”, this needs to end.
Step 1) The federal government will issue a free passport card (functions as legal ID to cross Canada and Mexican land borders.) to every US citizen. To receive the free passport card a US citizen must in person present proof of citizenship at their local DMV, Post Office, or Town Hall. IF you are economically or physically unable to make it to said office, the government will offer complimentary transportation to said government office.
The purpose of this is to insure that every US Citizen has a uniform form of ID that free and accessible to every US citizen, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, BUT unattainable by non citizens.
Step 2) To vote in ANY election, local, state, or federal one must be registered to vote in their district and MUST present a valid US passport card.
By doing it this way the democrats will be unable to claim that voter ID laws are racist or unfair as by making a cost free federal ID to every US citizen will remove that barrier.
A simple policy to solve a very complex problem. If we had some common sense in the government this would be a no brainer.
Never thought about that. good idea. Shorten the list of dead people voting!
Consider adding the following,
- Voting locations are to be handicap accessible.
- Add some way to allow registered voters that are laid up in hospital to vote.
- Should the National Voting Holiday be a paid holiday by employers regardless of size, or a substantial tax credit to the employee after providing proof of voting.

The mail in ballots had identifying marks between Republican and Democrat heavy districts. The postal system was caught throwing out Republican votes. Mail personal were also caught with trunks full of Rep votes.

Use REAL ID after it is changed to only be issued to American Citizens.

All you folks who support this should also give a vote to “Call a Convention of the States to Limit the Scope, Power and Jurisdiction of the Federal Government”, because you can ALSO achieve the same goal through a Convention, plus other policies you might support! Why limit yourself to a single topic? It’s perfectly safe; nothing that passes out of the Convention can become law until three-fourths of the states ratify it, so anything too extreme will be doomed from the outset.

The 60 days in advance of the election is when the 30min window for county election results transmission schedule/time is determined.
This gives the county election officials 60days to prepare wha will be required of them to successfully run the election and to avoid their retirement/livelihood from being taken away from them.
Should citizens laid-up in hospitals under the influence of drugs vote? Is the hospital a mental institution too?

National Voting Holiday payment for workers is between the employer and worker. This has nothing to do with being a citizen of the country.
TX requires proof of citizenship to get a driver license. Otherwise it says limited term across the top so they can tell you are not a citizen. If you become a citizen too late to get a new driver license you have to have naturalization certificate and driver license to vote and you have to have registered ahead of time.

Brainstorming here…Consideration for nationwide regulations as mentioned in this thread and each state should coordinate removal of a voter by death with the ability to receive a death cert if applicable.
At a minimum those two departments need to coordinate efforts to keep the voter roles clean. Nursing homes need to be looked at for residents who are unable but still submit a vote.

What about workers who would like to vote, however have to decide between working due to not earning much or voting?
Same day voting. No early voting. Vote either by a VPN network tied directly to the city/county/state you reside in. Its as simple as a qr code that you ask for from your particular place and then its a secure transaction just like paying for items or buying crypto
