The United States is in critical need of a national high speed rail network! In the same way that we used federal funding to bulldoze cities and build the world’s best interstate system, we need to build high speed rail in between our cities!

There is no evidence that America is”in critical need” of HSR. To the contrary, there is plenty of evidence coming from California that HSR is a huge boondoggle. America is in dire need of eliminating spending on boondoggles.
