The way that military and veterans are treated in this country is an absolute disgrace!
Men and women CHOOSE to put their lives on the line to protect our freedom, they derserve only the best for their sacrifice.
Yet the pay is so poor that some of these people have to get SNAP just to feed their families.
The housing they are given to live in is run down and dirty, some even have mold.
The VA is a complete waste of tax dollars, and needs to be eliminated. Our veterans should not have to wait to get treated, they need to be treated like the heros they are.
No veteran should ever be homeless!
Why would anyone want to join the military knowing they are going to be treated like this?
I would like to see our military strengthened in order to protect this country.
Our men and women sacrifice themselves as do their families to honor the call of duty to our country, they should be paid a wage that represents the importance of these men and women and the jobs they do. Career politicians make millions, yet our military can barely sustain their families. That’s just wrong.
I believe that Lt. Col Stuart Scheller should be pardoned (or the military version of such) of any crimes he was found/pled guilty of. He should be made whole for his act of a true Patriot who was the only one with enough strength and courage to call out the inept leadership during the Afghanastan debacle.
We need to do better in honoring and taking care of our veterans. Veteran suicide rate is so high. These men and women physically and mentally gave of themselves to protect our great country. This country should give back to them. It would be life changing if even a minuit precentage of the money spent on illegal immigrants or the war in Ukraine was spent taking care of and helping our veterans who are so deserving.
