Consumer products should be required to display microplastic content/concentration approximations. This will be a guideline of transparency for consumers to observe what products they can safely purchase for themselves and for their families. As there are now numerous peer-reviewed studies that demonstrate the negative health consequences of microplastic accumulation in the body, this would be similar to labeling declarations of known carcinogens, toxic chemicals, and corrosive substances, amongst other criteria.
