Micro Bills

I’m seeing this idea from others, but would like to add to the concept. The “Micro Bill”.

This would be a great idea for Elon to suggest to Congress, because it will begin the process of reducing spending.

Trump should instruct Congress that he will not sign a single bill that comes across his desk that is more than 20 pages long, and for more than $100 Million (or whatever value).

Each bill can only be for one thing - no more pork, no more hiding amnesty in a border bill, etc.

Trump can tell Congress, he doesn’t care if they have to send him 50 bills at once, as long as they are in simple language that all Americans can understand and they meet this criteria. And then every bill will be posted on the White House website as well as on X, so that Americans know exactly what is in them and can discuss them.

This will promote transparency, dialogue between average Americans and Congress, a new and more transparent way for Congress to operate without sneaky components that will force people to vote against it (like the wonderful border bill during the Biden administration, that enabled the Democrats to blame Republicans for voting against it), reign in spending and perhaps best of all, encourage bipartisanship. If a bill is short, sweet and simple, it will be very difficult to oppose if it solves a problem.

The way Congress operates needs to change, and it has to start with the eradication of omnibus spending bills and thousand page bills that nobody can read.
