Merge force transparency in hospital billing

I propose that the following 2 policy proposals, about transparency in hospital billing , get merged:

Require Hospitals For Transparent Billing & Publicly Displayed Costs

Transparent billing: This would require hospitals to provide itemized lists of all products and services and each price of said service and item used during visits that was used for the pacients care. Publicly Displayed Costs: All hospitals should be required to show how much each prosedure, service, tool, and/or item that can be used and billed to a patient. This would reinforce the “Transparent Billing” as patients and insurance companies could go through a bill and then compare price to di…

Force Hospitals to Post Prices

Hospitals should have prices of procedures, medications, etc. listed on their websites. This could help hospitals compete with each other and bring down already skyrocketed health care expenses. Or cap costs.

The main point of both policies are transparency in hospital pricing.
