Mental Health all covered by Insurance

All Mental Health should be covered by all insurance. Mental health is health and arguably, the most important. Most of the issues in our country are due to the state of our mental health. Most people know they are depressed, anxious, or have an idea that something is wrong mentally and want help but just can’t affordable the out-of-pocket cost. Therapy and other mental health services should be covered in full by insurance, not just after the deductible is met for adults, elderly and children. The overall happiest and wellbeing of the people of our country matters.

It is not arguably the most important, that is a point of view I disagree with.
Mental health is such a wide parameter . I know of teenagers who have literally no real mental health issues who drs willingly give them drugs for the disorders so they can claim Ssi and not have to work and then scream and yell when they don’t get their own way and blame it on their mental health issues .
Then there are those who truly do have mental illness . But why give priority and full payment for that issue why not heart issues , diabetics or disabled children . No I am sorry you can not do that it is totally unfair on so many levels

There will be people in every system who abuse it but more would benefit from it.

So what about the parent who has a disabled child who will have a lifetime of bills why not pay all their expenses instead?
You have to think where the money for this is going to come from. You pay all one groups bills another groups premiums or co pays will go up as they will be paying the same as if Medicaid covers it taxpayers will pay more . I just do not see your justification

Before adding any other care to Insurance we need to be realistic about the function of Insurance. Insurance is a for profit business that caters to the stock market investors. That is their primary stakeholder. They do have expenses and they also have a goal of making profit. They cannot pay for everything. Therefore, they must deny claims. Why does everyone want to hand decision making over to this type of business for people who are not Doctors to make their healthcare decisions?

The following really needs to be addressed prior to having insurance cover anything else:
