Members of Congress, just like the President, should be a natural born US citizen.

In addition, dual citizenship should not be allowed as it may encourage preference to be given and expected by other countries.

We might want to go a step further and require both parents of US Government employees to be natural citizens. Children can show loyalty to another country strictly because it was the place of birth for their parent(s).

What is the purpose of this? It seems antiquated as it focuses on what country the person parents were living when they gave birth to their daughter or son. Elon Musk is a perfect example of someone that can truly help the US but was not born in the United States. I’ll take him any day over 99% of the natural born US citizens that are currently in the government.

You act like dual citizenship with Israel is a conspiracy theory gone wild. LOL. JK. I totally agree with this suggestion. We need fully-American citizens to make laws for Americans. No divisive loyalties should be allowed…check your amendments…specifically the one that does not allow for foreign titles of nobility. This aint rocket science. Some may argue that it is old and antiquated, and should be disgarded, however, we really do need this, as it filters out foreign interests competing in current American interests. For example…do we need the Chinese Communist Party putting its two cents in, even for a second, regarding our internal affairs? Probably not.

Musk is not an elected official and many of our Congress and Senate have dual citizenship with Israel. Also some have out right said their alliance is to their native country.
