Hospitals and medical practices need to be required to provide timely follow up office visits with equal priority as they do profitable procedures and surgeries. Patients who are ill or post procedure or pharmaceutical side effect concerns should also receive appointments within a reasonable time frame rather than being sent to the ER because office visits don’t make practitioners enough money. Patients should also have access to physicians and not simply pawned off on nurses for follow up because of corporatized facilities that prioritize profits over patients well being.
