Medical Diagnosis Timeline

My husband was diagnosed with cancer at the beginning of May. The tumor on his neck was the size of a nickel and has more than tripled in size during this period. He is just starting radiation and chemo next week.

I remember a time when this was addressed quickly. There seems to be an apathy with the medical community, and they drag their feet in these types situations. Is there any policy being put forward to address the length of time patients wait to be cared for?

It could be your insurance dragging their feet. I was thankful that when I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer 2.7 yrs ago, Horizon BC/BS approved surgery, chemo, immunotherapy, weekly bloodwork & scans timely. As of last Sept, I have new insurance (Oscar) and then in January of thos year my cancer came back. But they have also been great with approving everything quickly.
Your husband is in my prayers. :pray:t2:

Thank you, Cheryl. God is our best medicine. The insurance company has been great. The doctors have been disappointing.

My husband has a biopsy last night and the doctor informed me the tumor is ready to break the skin. He offered no solutions. I asked the nurse and she said go to the Emergency. Well I’d like to see if we can avoid all of this rather than wait until it happens.

Praying for your husband. Yes, I would go thru the ER to see if they approach it differently. I didn’t like the first oncologist, who was recommended by the surgeon. I felt like I was on the Robert Wood Johnson hamster money wheel. I talked with my general physician and he went outside of the RWJ group and recomended a wonderful immunotherapy-oncologist. He has been great, actully cares about his patients and goes above and beyond. I would recommend taking your hubby for a 2nd opinion. :pray:t2::pray:t2::pray:t2::pray:t2:

I came down with Afib over thanksgiving of 2022. I didn’t get a cardioversion till end of January of 23. Then I didn’t get an Ablation till July 7th and after that it takes 3 months for your heart to settle into sinus rhythm. By the time I was into this for a year my heart was already damaged and I lost 20 lbs of muscle mass. I have never been the same since. They should not make you wait for treatment. Especially life threatening events.

Chemo and radiation are being recognized by many people for what they are; poison and burning. I urge you to listen to Dr. Artis.

You can also search for the Joe Tippins protocol. There are various cures… yes, cures… for cancers. The Medical Industrial Complex is also being recognized for what it is; owned lock, stock and barrel by Big Pharma.
