Maternal: Restore Mother's Time With Baby After Normal Birth - Stop Lengthy Separation

The policy of separating mothers from children at birth unnecessarily has risks for both the mother’s bonding capabilities and the child’s emotional development, and some of these are long-lasting. I propose that separation of newborns and mothers in the hospital be minimized, especially with healthy newborns, and that steps be taken to make mother - child bonding easier, even for pre-mature babies or those with health conditions:
