Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) are negotiating prescription costs for insurance companies & their patients. However, often insurance charges more than the cash price and/or more than discount cards like GoodRX. They also charge pharmacies for every prescription it fills. There is no transparency in how they are negotiating prices nor how they charge fees to pharmacy. Implement cost and negotiation transparency among pharmacy PBMs to drive cost down for patients.
