Every American at some point has been refused a prescription medication that their provider deemed necessary or beneficial to their health and overall well being. Even cancer patients are denied life saving treatments all due to insurance companies wanting to save a dollar. Providers are becoming burnt out in alarming rates not only due to the heavy load the profession entails but because they are constantly entangled with insurance dictating their care. Autonomy needs to return back to the provider and insurance companies need to have boundaries! This issue is also heavily mingled with big pharma and the blatantly obvious kick backs they provide to eachother.
