Make Cost of Christian Health Sharing Ministries Tax Deductible

There are hundreds of thousands of people in the US who are Christians who use health sharing ministries instead of insurance. Two examples of these health sharing ministries are Samaritan Ministries and Medi-share. Currently the monthly contributions to these by members is not taxed deductible for individuals, families or businesses. It is my understanding that this has been proposed at the federal level in the past but has gotten buried and never acted on. Making these tax deductible would encourage the use of health sharing ministries.

Yes. And, Missouri and Indiana have already done this! Also, the practice saves TONS of money not spent on typical overpriced healthcare when insurance is involved! A surgery WITH insurance costs 27,000. Without insurance, cash pay, same surgery costs 7,000! Proves the point.
