Most people hate the cold white light of modern public spaces. I believe some studies suggest it has physical as well as mental health toll on those subjected to it.
The classic amber glow used to come from high-pressure sodium bulbs.
Efficient lighting infrastructure is very important. LEDs should be used, but choose a better color!
I would like to see it mandated that public projects (city, street light, highway) use LED illumination with color temperature 2700K. This imitates a “setting sun” color.
