I think that if you are old enough to fight in a war, vote, be tried as an adult in the judicial system, buy guns, etc. that you should be old enough to drink. 18-21 YO have been and always will still drink, smoke, etc. before it is legal to do so. In theory it’s supposed to be a deterrent, but I believe the adverse happens almost like saying don’t push the red button.
