Lower diabetic prices

As a type one diabetic, I know firsthand how essential access to life-saving medication is—not just for daily comfort, but for survival. Insulin, injections, and continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) are not optional for people with type one diabetes; they are vital tools that keep us healthy and safe. Yet, the prices of these essential resources have risen to levels that put an unfair financial strain on countless diabetics and their families.

Lowering the cost of insulin, injections, and CGM devices would remove this burden, ensuring that no one has to ration supplies or choose between their health and other basic needs. Access to affordable life-saving medication is a fundamental right, not a privilege. With fair pricing, we can enable every diabetic to manage their condition effectively and live without the constant fear of financial hardship.

Passing this policy is not just a step forward in healthcare affordability; it’s a move toward compassion and equity for the millions who depend on these medical essentials. It’s time to make affordable access a reality, so that every diabetic can focus on living a healthy life rather than struggling to afford one.

I agree with this as someone who has worked for Medicare Medical PPO policyholders 625 was the average I saw before I had to leave the office an the job itself ultimately in 2020, since then I believe it has gone up even further, but even in 2019 people where having to choose between being a home owner an being able to get what they need to live, personally I believe it would also help to create an updated coding process that does not use a 1980s green screen which I believe is the main issue with claim denials when it should have been covered, doctors should have to match codes they should be auto verified for contracted an none contracted providers alike
