I would like to help on a board that develops guidelines for businesses and monitors so that the practices and disposal of goods not sold does not affect humanity or living beings (fish, wildlife, stray cats & dogs, etc). I am well aware of auto part factories that have dumped chrome plating material, an oil refinery that dumped oil residues, all into the ground waters making nearby residents get cancer and other autoimmune diseases. We need to plan how we will get rid of hazardous waste and then hold the business accountable. Perhaps have them purchase disposal insurance when things are done wrong. As a previous legal assistant, and resident of the “Automotive Capital of the World”, I dearly want to prevent problems of the 1970-80’s. As it happens all over the country.
