We must limit government spending to 20% of GDP except for times of war as declared by congress. There are no checks on the budget, there are no audits and no incentives to reduce waste or spending in general. Government employees are among the least efficient in our economy but have the longest retention rates and somehow still get pensions. They receive guaranteed benefits and increases in wages without any merit other than showing up. If a government agency determines that they are not necessary, do they close it? Their existence is largely a conflict of interest.
