Limit Election Campaign Time-Frame and Spending

Limit the time potential/existing elected officials can campaign to one month before the vote. We’re paying elected officials to spend time campaigning, instead of the job they were elected to do, sometimes for up to 2 years prior to the vote taking place. Let their actions in office and their communities stand for them. No political advertisements should start until the election is 1 month out.

Also, the amount of contributions campaigns receive should require that a portion gets donated towards a cause in that potential/elected officials name. Campaign spending is exorbitant, and forcing a certain % to actually fund part of the government or a program would be of a better use and more enlightening to the voters then spending it on a commercial or billboard.
