Because Marijuana stays in your blood stream for at least 3 weeks after consuming if a person was to take Marijuana once a month as a medication they would test positive on drug tests whether they were doing it on the job or not. It also shows up on hair follicle tests. If someone is applying for a job as a cop and they smoked even once in the last year even though at the state level it’s legalized they would still be ineligible. Federal Job eligibility discriminates against Medical Marijuana patients. If some has gone through cancer, has Parkinsons, chronic pain, and/or high blood pressure and they were prescribed Medical Marijuana by a doctor they would not be eligible for even the smallest Federal Job. It’s time to move past the old racist policies of the past. There has been plenty of research on Medical Marijuana and it’s benefits. On the job taking of Medical Marijuana should not be legalized. I propose the acceptance of a Legitimate Medical Marijuana Card Holder to be able to get a Government Job at any level without Discrimination against their medical history and prescription with regards to standards already upheld in Federal Jobs like Military Eligibility and other National Security Jobs. We want OSHA inspector jobs not to be withheld from Medical Marijuana patients.
