Most children by middle school should know States and their capitals, should have an idea of what the history of this country is and have pride in being an American! Put American flags back in every classroom and pledge allegiance should be practiced in the classrooms atleast K-5. Bring back all the textbooks and remove all chromebooks so the youth learn the proper way, by actually having to open a book, actually read a whole book, and write papers by hand! Bring back cursive so the youth can actually read important United States documents and sign their names not just print it!

Also basic skills like sewing, cleaning, balance a bank account, money identifying (penny,nickle, dime, quarter, paper money (not just a debt/credit card app), reading a clock(not digital) woodworking, and basic knowledge on maintenance of owning a home!
