Washington State has passed a law saying that Obesity is a disease. If that is the case, why doesnt Insurance cover treatment? All Insurance companies should cover weight loss medication. A healthy person has less medical issues. If Insurance covers someones heart attack, surgeries, and ER fees from being Obese. Why not help those not reach that point? Any overweight individuals seeking help to lose weight should be able to do so under Insurance. Prices for weight loss medication without Insurance is often over $1,000 a month.
