Insurance Coverage of Compounded Medications

Millions of Americans use some form of compounded medications and they are not covered by most / all insurance companies. Bioidentical hormones, menopause treatment, treatments for pain, autoimmune conditions and more and it’s 100% out of pocket. FDA needs to put effort into making these essential medications available for the people rather than blocking them, and-such medications must be covered by insurance companies. This would be a significant help for millions of people who either can’t afford it or who don’t have a compounding pharmacy nearby.
