Work with financial institutions to implement a significant remittance tax on funds sent from individuals in the United States to recipients in select foreign countries that have high rates of illegal immigration. By imposing such a tax, sending money back home becomes more expensive, which could discourage individuals from attempting to cross illegally into our country. This will ensure we have a multi-pronged approach to deterrence, and the revenue generated could be used to enhance other border security measures.
