Hospitals should have to give honest bills.
There should always be an itemized list in the bill.
Instead most Americans are cheated out of thousands of dollars simply because they thought they had too. It shouldn’t be a secret.
They shouldn’t be allowed to send out a bill for 60k when its possible to have it worked down to $500
All momentary incentives to test for more unnecessary things just to be paid for the data it gives should be up front and honest.
And herein lies the problem of NPs. They’re poorly trained with a few hundred hours of shadowing, sometimes of other trainees or non clinical staff, and then they’re off the the races. Studies show they order more unnecessary labs, images, biopsies, antibiotics, narcotics, and make poor quality referrals. This results in more cost to YOU and more revenue for the hospital (+less salary).
You think hospitals and employers hire them because they provide better care than doctors? Lol
