I’m a resident of Harbor, Oregon and need to express the frustration felt by majority of Harbor residents in the lack of transparency by this county in bringing SF Bay Area First Step to Harbor. Supposedly the location chosen due to opioid crisis in Curry County. Then locate it in Gold Beach at County Seat or Brookings both of which have police departments. Harbor area already experiencing a problem with homeless tents and the litter etc that comes with this issue while having limited Sheriff services. We need to contact State Police to deal with the trash and litter. Gold Beach and Brookings don’t seem to face this problem and a new addiction center is not going to help Harbor. The BOC has been nearly silent about this organization moving to Harbor. Is it possible to get an injunction or some other type of stopping this until the community can have discussions or protests ?
