I volunteered with homeless ministries for nearly a decade and taught inner city Los Angeles Youth. The most successful institutions had privatized programs in which churches and communities would purchase a building , place a rehabilitation program built into the facility and rehabilitate individuals, and families that were displaced and/or homeless.
These facilities, disciple people in Judeo Christian values and with professional help, rehabilitate people with mental and/or physical disabilities as well as behavioral issues and addictions. When people are given a space and a chance to rehabilitate and enter back into society, it changes communities.
I have lots of ideas:
Community gardens
Community art centers
Recreational centers for all ages
Ranches for PTSD, Traumas, Terminal illness patients & Special needs
Mental Health Camps
