We should have our military on the ground in Noth Carolina helping rebuild these communities. Our President shouldn’t be promising to help any other country rebuild while we haven’t even helped our people rebuild. We should get rid of the red tape so that the process can happen faster and that our people in the United States of America can be in their own homes.

Agreed, unfortunately, it will probably take a serious house-cleaning out of our current Military Industrial Complex, Lobbyists, and Congressional Reps. in order to make this proposal work. This incestuous relationship has all but paralyzed our military forces with respect to domestic emergency service (including National Guard), and even destroyed the ability to fund such operations. That is my two cents on it – gotta clean house first. I am for bull-dozing everything and starting fresh, while following the Constitution to a ‘tee’. If the building is thoroughly infested with termites, it only makes sense to blow it and build over from scratch, I think.
