Approximately 20% of Americans utilize 80% of healthcare resources. This varies. Instead of some widespread plan that covers everyone, if we focused on the issues impacting the 20% we could make a lot of improvements, certainly in conjunction with the MAHA principles. There is a significant issue with accountability. People abusing drugs and alcohol cycle through Emergency departments. Same with uncontrolled diabetes. They utilize the resources without help or accountability. They need both. These are examples. Main point is a small group use a higher level of resources than the population as a whole. Also reimagine the JFK/ 1960s era focus on physical fitness. There is a dire need.
