Health in Educational Institutions should be removed

Take health out of schools all together. Health costs and educational costs are too high, one reason is because we are paying twice for the same service.

School health is not compliant with current guidelines for health as putr forth by Federal laws and the Affordable Care Act with all revisions.

Many schools do not have a physician to disseminate standing orders. Many School Nurses work outside their scope of practice.

Fines for anyone practicing nursing or medicine without a license, including all educators who do not have school health practitioner in their job description, nor the credential or licensing to do so.

Re-education about educators role and scope of practice for health practitioners.

Annual continuing education about scope of practice for educators versus health providers.

Development of educator v. Health provider scope of practice in to educators curriculum.

School psychologists should not be discussing medical issues, operating without a physical health license. Non-compliant with ACA regulations, should not be getting federal funding. Federal funding should only go to practitioners who meet ACA requirements. Psychologists should be taken out of schools. Parent needs to accompany minor to all appointments, and provide consent by law.

En loco parentis should be challenged to include guidelines that medical. Health care consent cannot be given in lieu of parents.

Follow up with states to enable establishments who are compliant to build school health units who are compliant close by to schools if needed.

Parents must be available to bring minors to health visits.

If parents are not available, the child will learn remotely until a return to school note is obtained from MD.

No educator should be making decisions about when students can or can not attend school by evaluating medical status.

No education funds should be used for health care or advice, including school nurses, addiction, psychology, or dental. Federal gov has funding for health care with massive amounts of regulations in which educating systems do not comply with.

Corporations should not be evaluating health. Paid Time Off should not be aggregated in to personal days or sick days. For no reason should corporations be asking employees about their health status.

Notes from doctors to work should not be shared. Occupational health is a specialty that bridges work health balance.

Corporations can outsource to occupational health for illness management, with employee’s consent to share/ guide.
