Punishments need to be heavier for sex offenders and pedophiles. Why do they get to hurt our children and only get a few years but people with drug possession get 20 years? Lets protect our children!

Please look up NARSOL.org and throughly research this topic before encouraging this. Many innocent young men have permant records because of how poorly the system handles “sex” crimes. Most “sex offenders” did absolutely nothing to children.
It needs to become a case by case scenario not just a blanket punishment. Last year a 10 year old boy was nearly charged and labeled as a sex offender in Louisiana. What happened had absolutely nothing to do with sex. Many cases have nothing to do with children, but instead are he said she said cases where believe it or not, men are accused of things they didn’t do.
When you really start to research it, I fear for all the young men growing up in this world. Meet the wrong women and they’ll have a record for life and be treated with absolute disgust by the people that only see the label and don’t ask what the actual “crime” was.

Thank you! Yes “Sex Crimes” in the US need a major REFORM. Too many innocent men have had their lives ruined because Prosecutor’s Offices are Federally funded to convict at all costs with this law. Police are funded to run the undercover operation to entrap innocent men.

I fully support the severest of punishment for rapists and pedophiles, however I would like to see some kind of severe punishment come back on false accusers too. Sex crimes seem to be the one crime that does not have be proven to get a conviction, and even if they aren’t guilty, their life is still ruined.

I think we should follow what Jesus teaches in the Bible about what should be done to pedophiles or anyone who offends a child:
Matthew 18:5-6
“5. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.
6. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.”

Yes. They should get the punishment they wanted to unpose on the person they accused.
But I don’t know how you can make certain no errors are made on this.
I believe the death penalty is appropriate for child sexual predators. At the very least, amputation of the entire package, maybe even a disabling of the pleasure centers of the brain, or maybe the nerves connecting…
But how could you be certain the person is truly, definitely, fully guilty, and not just a feckless victim of a pathological liar, a sociopath, an attention whore drama queen?
I had an adopted sister who was a narcistic sociopath and starting in childhood she would cry and pout and do and say almost anything to get people to feel sorry for her. She was truly gifted at acting the victim and she destroyed a lot of people. She died of liver failure when she was 39, drank herself to death. It was a relief when she died. The world is a better place without her.
Praise God if you can’t fathom having anyone that horrid in your life.
