My name is Mia Pecina and I work for a Corporation that ensures the safety of all employees. How? We walk through metal detectors and they search our bags to make sure we are in the clear. I feel as though we could do this with each of our schools to make it safer for our future generations! I know it sounds extreme, but so did having a resource officer placed at each school at all times.

I do not see a problem with this. The only thing i see people talk about is the time it will take to search bags every day, and who to do it.
I do not see a problem with this as we could make all the teachers check their own students, instead of a couple of security guards.
This will take longer with bigger schools and older age and there may be safety concerns then. I do see this being extremely helpful to prevent any more casualties.
I do see this being viable if we have all students go through one door (gymnasium), which has a metal detector and teacher staged (quick check), and then a thorough backpack check on the way out.
We need to have security outside of the buidling as well to protect the gathering of humans inside or outside of the buidling.
In the case of terrorist, we need to cover all basis, to ensure our children our protected. The chances are low, never zero.
This could decrease morale initially, but it all depends on how we treat the whole situation. This could be how we talk to the children and ask about their day yesterday. Make it a nice surrounding with decorations.
It does not have to be utilitarian!!!
