Guarantee the soverign right for women to make their own healthcare decisions, including whether or not to terminate a pregnancy

Abortion bans and restrictions are based entirely on religious beliefs about when life begins. Religious beliefs are constitutionally disallowed (see: First Amendment) to be used as governing principles. Thereby, all abortion bans and restrictions are unconstitutional and should not be allowed to be determined by any branch of government, either State or Federal. Nothing is more personal or sovereign than what we do with our bodies, and men should not be allowed to make laws that apply only to women.

Abortion is a service, not a right. Forcing others to provide a service is called slavery. States are voting on their own individual abortion laws. People are free to vote however they want.

Conception, the point at which a unique human life begins, is when a sperm and egg join. That is the science of when individually distinct life begins. Religions might acknowledge this scientific fact, but this is science, not religion.

1st Amendment " Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…"

Abortion is murder and murder IS unconstitutional. Therefore reframing murder as more palatable feminist rhetoric of body autonomy/choice FAILS to account for the babies body autonomy and choice. Murder is not “healthcare” either. These are lies, failures to fully account for all parties rights and responsibilities involved, and is nothing more than substance free feminist rhetoric from women without character or agency who think their only remaining power is to divorce themselves from their natural roles as life facilitators, and caregivers to carry to term new life inside them.

Matters of rape, incest, and mothers health continue to be less than 1% of all abortions committed annually, and are consistently so, and the law has always allowed for such circumstances. The jig us up on this nasty untruthful rhetoric, that can’t decide if women are empowered or are victims, or are actually looking for the means to live irresponsibly while using abortion as contraception, and the public is tired of it, and paying for the murderous irresponsibility of lunatics. Abortion is not contraception, it’s murder.

Are doctors being forced to perform abortions? Where is that happening? Having it be legal does not obligate any doctor to perform the procedure. The problem I have with the States voting on their own individual abortion laws, is that it’s the legislature voting, not the people. And the legislators are swayed by the big money interests, including big churches and religious organizations. So, it is not necessarily the will of the people that is being implemented. As usual, it is the will of those with the money. Also, the point at which life begins is a completely subjective determination. In my spiritual views, life begins at first breath. And though I am not strictly a Christian, I do find good support for this belief in the Bible. So, why should the religious views of some be made into law, when the first amendment is to make no laws respecting or prohibiting the free exercise thereof?

If it is growing, it is living. I feel you have the right to remove any living cell, that contains your DNA, from your body that you want to. What?? The living cell has it’s own DNA? Well then I guess it isn’t your body. I suppose you could have the uterus removed that this cell, that does not contain your DNA, is residing in. That should take care of this problem and prevent any future issues.

You might as well just flat out say you want Roe v Wade reinstated and for abortion to be taken away from the states again.

That is an absolute load of bull.

What about the women who oppose abortion?

You say that as if abortion isn’t a major big money industry itself.

Meaning that abortion bans could, in fact, but the will of the people.

Please back up your claim by citing what parts of the Bible support this belief.

You’re trying to dismiss religion while also trying to claim that the Bible backs up your point of view.

I would say that there is a counter-argument to be made that due to the rights granted by the 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and possibly the 9th Amendments, that the Constitution possibly renders abortion un-Constitutional.

It ultimately all comes down to “When is the baby a human being”?

You don’t even need religion to necessarily determine when a baby is a human being, it is something that can potentially be determined entirely by science.

Yet, as has been noted, you yourself opened your argument on ‘when does life begin’ by citing the very religious and spiritual angle that you previously said should be ignored.

Please see my reply to Marie. “Abortion is murder” is based on a religious belief about when life begins. There are other religions and philosophies that have different beliefs. This is why I say it is unconstitutional, according to the first amendment, to make one group’s religious beliefs into a law that applies to everyone in a state.

$9,200,000.00 Amount spent on the abortion amendment in Colorado.
$4,500,000.00 came from out of state supporters of the amendment.

$518,000.00 spent opposing the amendment. All in state donors.

You really want to pretend that it is the will of the people for an issue that impacts about 1/3 of 1% the population of the USA?

When life begins is a scientific fact. 1/2 of the DNA necessary for human life in in a ovum and 1/2 is in a spermazoa. When they join, a unique human life begins. That is not debatable. It just is. NO religious bent about it. Just a hard cold fact.

You yourself already claimed that you ‘believe’ that the Bible supports your argument that life only begins after the baby has left the womb.

You keep insisting that opposition to abortion is based purely on religious arguments but you’ve done nothing to support that argument beyond insisting that it’s true for an unspecified reason.

I like that. These feminists should cut out their uterus BEFORE they conceive, if they were truly proactive.

So are women empowered, or are they victims? If they’re empowered, why do they need taxpayers to fund the deed? And if less than 1% of abortions are due to rape, incest, and mothers survival, how can you make the victim argument, when it’s 99% post conception birth control. You can’t be honest. And you can’t be honest that the only power that you seek is to murder, which is what you get with “equality”, is huge numbers of women at war with, and competing with men, rather than cooperation between the sexes. It’s so sad that a baby has to die because one or both of the child’s would be parents are deeply committed to chronic irresponsibility.

The secret sauce of success of western civilization is Christianity. It’s the only religion that matters in that context. I don’t care about other countries and other religions. They cannot do, and have not done what western countries have. Everyone take note. This is how western society dies. Subversion of western society with foriegn ideals, and it ALWAYS comes through women. They are the first to succumb and then weaponize the subversion of all that is good against their very own. Here we are in 2024 and a third of our women have been reduced to voting for a single issue, that their national party echoed and mirrored! The totality of substance of the democrat policy in real time. The “freedom” to murder babies.

Killing another human being isn’t a right.

The abortion issue is the byproduct of feminism. The lie that men and women are equal. They are not, but they have “won” their equality status, yet women biologically pursue irresponsibility, they seek men, fathers and husband’s that will allow them their biological need to defer responsibility to those men and be free from the full burdens. If they can’t find a man to defer responsibility, they seek the state to do it. Culturally we have devolved to the point that many women’s first encounter with facing personal responsibility is pregnancy and motherhood. The vast majority of women operate on FEELINGS, and motherhood is THEE main catalyst that makes women FEEL obligation, responsibility for another life other than their own, and ultimately fulfillment and meaningful purpose. Sadly our women are being robbed of the very ultimate right of passage that not only leads to purpose and fulfillment, and obliterating the foundational principal of cooperation between men and women. Abortion is a war against the family ,women, and men. Largely single women have lost this culture war, and now have been turned against men. So much so that cooperation between the sexes cannot be presumed and expected. Marraige & birth rates are down all over the world. Abortion is finally really a war on men, humanity, and nature itself. To see to it that men are removed from the most ultimate of decisions on who controls life and legacy of their children. And of all the issues under the sun that women could be FOR, they choose murder of babies. This is what happens when you give women choices, voices, and political power, they become a highly destructive force of self interested shrews, seeking self interests at the cost to the people and the state, and they lack the ability to acknowledge or even see those costs, let alone do full accounting for those costs, instead externalizing those costs to anyone and everyone but themselves. How many more MILLIONS of innocent lives must be snuffed out because women want to live obligation and responsibility free and only consume, not produce cultural capital?

Let’s look for compromise here. Agree with term limits if mothers life is not endangered.

Never compromise with terrorists. Repeal the 19th.

  • I’m an atheist pro-lifer. My opposition to killing unborn babies is grounded in my biologically based repulsion to violence in general and my protective instincts for vulnerable children… not because of religion. Nothing is more universal than that.
  • Your belief in a right to kill unborn children is also a belief.
  • Women’s and children’s lives BOTH matter.

If anyone wants to support a more feasible idea that offers basic safeguards for pregnant women and unborn children and addresses top concerns about abortion and pro-life laws, please consider my proposal here:
