Yes. My vote was without question republican. It doesn’t mean I don’t have concerns.
I do not think most Americans realize how hard it is for someone to LEGALLY come and work from Mexico. Their visa process is 1 year plus, and most are usually denied. Even if it is just to visit. In fact, on my weekend trip to Cabo (with my less than a week passport approval) , I asked attorneys, citizens why it’s so hard. They said their applications just take extensive time and most are denied, unless they have money. Again, this is those seeking to come legally or just have a vacation visit.
Our current administration has led people to think they can travel and start a new life here legally. That leaves legal children and illegal parents. They don’t understand otherwise. Most want away from the poverty and crime We Americans can pretty much travel anywhere when and how we want in less than 90 day approval. Many hard working families, who have been here 4-20 years , under sanctuary law, deserve the chance to prove themselves. Not just by marrying somebody either. Many have contributed to society, built most of where we live and work, paid taxes, and created families over these years. Most pay taxes and just forgo any return rights. Deport the criminals.
I say this for those ONLY WORKING, tax paying, without criminal prosecution, background, affiliation etc
Yes, I do agree to closing the border so we have a better idea of who is using the border to cross.
